44k Road Cycle: A classic route taking riders over the climbs of Honister and Whinlatter passes. Turning right out of Buttermere, the route passes through Gatesgarth and onto the steep ascent of Honister Pass. Starting with a gradual incline the route winds it's way up through this dramatic valley flanked by the imposing sides of Fleetwith Pike. The second section of this climb is very steep with gradients of up to 25%, finishing with 'The Wall' at the top of the pass. Take in some amazing views & marvel at the old mine workings built into the hillsides before a steep & technical descent to Seatoller. The route then winds through the spectacular Borrowdale Valley, turning left at Grange, then following the western lake road at the base of Catbells. The route heads up over the forested climb of Whinlatter Pass, followed by a long sweeping descent to Lorton. You then head along to Buttermere Village via a stunning route along the shore of Crummock Water & back to the transition at Buttermere.

13k Trail Run: An incredible circular route around the shores of Crummock Water. With the mighty Grassmoor on the east and the fells of Mellbreak on the west, it has unparalleled views from either side. This is a relatively flat route with a great combination of off road running terrain. Heading out of Buttermere, passing the spectacular waterfalls of Sourmilk Gill and Scale Force, the route follows the western shoreline at the base of Melbreak. Savour the views down the whole valley from the pine clad northern shoreline of Lanthwaite Woods before returning along the eastern shores via the base of Rannerdale Knotts.
