The second section of this climb is very steep with gradients of up to 25%, finishing with 'The Wall' at the top of the pass. Take in some amazing views & marvel at the old mine workings built into the hillsides before a steep & technical descent to Seatoller. The route then winds through the spectacular Borrowdale Valley, turning left at Grange, then following the western lake road at the base of Catbells. The route heads up over the forested climb of Whinlatter Pass, followed by a long sweeping descent to Lorton.
