Unfortunately we have had to cancel this event. Natural England have decided to ban 'large' events on Buttermere Lake. This is due to the potential spread of invasive non-native plant species from people swimming.

We really apologise for this as this was a fantastic event, encouraging people to be active in this beautiful environment. We have always informed people re the potential spread of invasive non-native species & implemented the necessary bio security measures. Such events are a great way to inform people of this potential threat unlike the 'non regulated' approach for the majority of people throughout the year.
