Learn from the world's best: Learn about trail/ultra running from the 2013 world champion Ricky Lightfoot. Whether you are looking to get into trail/ultra running events or looking to improve your performance to the next level this weekend will be ideal. This weekend is aimed at all level and abilities of runners. 

 

On this weekend we'll be covering aspects such as training program plans/principles for trail/ultra running, nutritional strategies and advice, equipment selection and advice, night running (Petzl headtorches to try out) , injury prevention and rehab, and of course some superb runs onto the trails and fells guided by our experienced team. 

 

There will also be discussions and advice covering off road running techniques for the various types of terrain encountered in trail/ultra running, preparation for trail running events,training program plans / principles, nutritional strategies and advice, kit selection and recommendations, injury prevention and night running.

 

We will be based at the Derwentwater Independent Hostel where we will have access to the trails right from the door step! Your weekend will include your stay here for the weekend and all your meals will be provided. (3 meals a day) And of course lots of fun!
